Twende is a business and travel listing directory designed to help users find verified businesses and services in Kenya. The website and mobile application are owned and operated by Twende. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Twende, including any content, functionality, and services offered.

2. User Registration and Accounts

  • To access certain features of Twende, you may be required to register for an account. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Twende reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms & Conditions.

3. Business Listings

  • Businesses can register to list their services on Twende. Each business is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information provided, including descriptions, images, contact details, and any other relevant data.
  • Twende reserves the right to review, edit, or remove listings that violate our guidelines or are deemed inappropriate.

4. Featured Listings & Payments

  • Business owners have the option to feature their business on Twende for an additional fee. Featured listings appear at the top of search results and category pages.
  • The cost of featuring a business is KES 6,500 per month, with payment options available monthly, quarterly, biannually, or annually. Payment for featured listings can be made via M-Pesa or Visa.
  • To inquire about featuring your business on the homepage or placing banners, please contact [email protected].
  • Payments must be made before a listing becomes featured or verified.

5. Verification of Listings

  • Businesses may opt to verify their listings for KES 5,000 annually. Verified businesses receive a green badge indicating that they have undergone additional checks, enhancing their trustworthiness on the platform.
  • Payments for verification must be made in full before submitting verification documents.
  • Visit our Verified Business Directory to see all verified businesses.

6. Content Submission

  • By submitting any content (including text, images, or media) to Twende, you grant us the right to use, display, reproduce, and modify the content as necessary to promote your listing on the platform.
  • You are solely responsible for any content submitted, and you must ensure that the content does not infringe any intellectual property rights or violate any laws.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use Twende for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any local, national, or international law.
  • Submit false or misleading business information.
  • Post or transmit content that is defamatory, offensive, or inappropriate.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform’s security, operations, or data integrity.
  • Collect or attempt to collect personal information from users without their consent.

8. Third-Party Websites and Links

Twende may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for your convenience, and Twende is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites. We recommend reviewing the terms and privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

  • All content on Twende, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the intellectual property of Twende or its content creators and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
